As of November 30, 2014, there were 135 Drinking Water Advisories in effect in 91 First Nation communities across Canada, (excluding British Columbia). Many for more than 10 years, including the community of Shoal Lake.
We think of these people today as Winnipeg is hit by a boil water advisory and remember that our brief inconvenience is the ongoing struggle for so many.
