6:00PM at Seymourville Community Hall: Stories of the Lake – An evening of storytelling
This is an evening to share stories of our past – a celebration of the special people and places from this part of the Lake . Please bring pictures, artifacts and genealogies and anything else that might be interesting to share. Check back for confirmation of time and location.
Friday, August 8
2:00 PM – Walkers will begin from last stop location, around 10km out of Manigotagan
4:00 PM – Meet on bridge heading in to Manigotagan, walk together as a large group to the closing ceremony location (TBD)
4:30 PM – Closing ceremony for the water, led by Katherine Morrisseau-Sinclair
6:00 PM – Traditional Potluck Feast and Entertainment at Manigotogan Community Hall. Silent Auction.
- Fish and Wild Rice will be provided
- Pot Luck dishes and desserts are welcome …
- Cooks and Bakers – We can supply ingredients for bannock, fish and wild rice dishes but we will need cooks, bakers and help at the hall. E-mail or text Reg if you can help and we will drop off supplies.
OUT OF TOWN WALKERS and Special Guests:
Camping and limited billeting is available along the lake. Manigotagan is offering a few tipis for your use but you must reserve soon. Please bring your own bedding. Contact MJ McCarron (204-791-2797 / firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information.
